There is also a large network of walking paths, including Las Moradas, Cuevas Negras and Talavera. The routes are an ideal opportunity to visit the island’s plant life with laurel forest trees, fire trees and heather, the odd dragon tree and a huge Canarian ebony tree on the Cuevas Negras pathway. Typical wildlife in the area includes birds of prey, Laurel pigeons and Bolle’s pigeons, blackbirds, hoopoes and reptiles (Gallotia Galloti lizards and green lizards).
