Erjos

Monte del Agua is in the Erjos district, in the countryside in the borough of Los Silos in the north-west of the island of Tenerife, at an altitude of approximately 3000 feet.

The island of Tenerife has a surface area of 2,034 Km2. It is in the Atlantic Ocean and it is the largest and highest island in the Canaries and the entire Macaronesia region.

The island is just 300 km from Africa and 1,300 km from mainland Spain.

This is a volcanic island; indeed, its highest peak, the Teide, is a 12,188 feet high volcano, making it the highest point in Spain.

The Teide, a 18,990-hectare nature park, has been declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.
